Before going on disability leave, 49-year-old radio host Eleanor Mondale announced on her show that her brain cancer has returned for a third time.

“I am not scared,” she told her listeners.  “I am just mad. I don’t want to do this again, who do I talk to?”

Mondale, the daughter of former Vice President Walter Mondale, said, “I told my doctor, ‘I really like you Dr.Uhm, but I’ve had enough. This is not fun anymore. It was never really fun, but this is enough.’”

Mondale, who was first diagnosed with brain cancer in 2005, said on March 20, she learned the cancer was back. She says it’s still in its infancy stage, and it is in the same location where it was the last time, the front of her brain.

A little over three years ago when she was diagnosed, doctors used radiation and chemotherapy treatments, however, when it returned 13 months ago, surgeons removed the tumor.

She is expected to return to the Mayo Clinic at the end of this month to see if the cancer has stopped growing.
