Seventeen year old Erin Caffey received two life sentences and an additional 25 years in prison for murdering her mother and two younger brothers in their home in Emory, Texas.

According to police reports, in March of 2008, Caffey along with co-defendants Bobby Gale Johnson, Charlie James Wilkinson and Charles Allen Waid, went on a shooting a stabbing rampage before setting Caffey’s house on fire.

Caffey’s mother Penny and her brothers Mathew, 13 and Tyler, eight were shot and killed while her father Terry was shot five times but was able to escape to a neighbor’s house.

Authorities believe the murder plot started when Caffey’s parents forbid her from dating Wilkinson when she was 16.

Johnson was sentenced to 40 years in prison and will be eligible for parole in 20 years.

In November, Wilkinson and Waid avoided the death penalty by pleading guilty, but will likely received life sentences with parole said prosecutor McDowell.
