The family of former America’s Next Top Model Jael Strauss recently taped an episode of the Dr. Phil show, as a last ditch effort to get help for the once aspiring model, who is hooked on drugs.
Twenty-eight year-old Jael, who appeared on the modeling competition show in 2007, is apparently living on the streets and her family believes she will also die on the streets if she doesn’t get the help she so desperately needs.
Appearing on the Dr. Phil show with rotten teeth and open soars on her face covered with makeup, Jael resists help from the psychologist even running off the stage.
It’s unclear whether Jael was using drugs while she was on America’s Next Top Model, but her family said she became hooked on methamphetamine shortly after the show aired.
While filming an episode of America’s Next Top Model, Jael learnt that one of her closest friends had died from a drug overdosed.
The Dr. Phil show with Jael airs on Thursday September 13.
