(CNN) — A fire on a popular tourist street may affect business in Key West, Florida, a waitress at a popular tourist destination said Monday morning.“We felt kind of safe and secure here, even if this economy is [unstable],” waitress Patricija Hambrook who works at Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville said.
But with the fire that blazed through several well-known shops — including Margaritaville — on the city’s popular Duval Street late Sunday night, Hambrook and others are thinking twice.
The fire, which damaged three businesses, was contained by about 1 a.m. on Monday, Key West Fire Department spokeswoman Alyson Crean said. Two firefighters suffered minor injuries, she said.
