The American men’s basketball Dream Team beat the French team in the 2012 Olympic Games today in London.

The America team, which consists of Carmelo Anthony (Knicks), Kobe Bryant (Lakers), Tyson Chandler (Knicks), Anthony Davis (Hornets), Kevin Durant (Thunder), James harden (Thunder), Andre Iguodala (76ers), LeBron James (Heat), Kevin Love (Timberwolves), Chris Paul (Clippers), Russell Westbrook (Thunder) and Deron Williams (Nets),  was expecting  a challenge from the French team, featuring San Antonio guard Tony Parker, who played in goggles to protect a surgically repaired left eye .

The Americans experienced some hiccups in the first half by missing their first six three-point attempts, but they went on to win 98-71.

After the game Carmelo said “We know everybody else expects us to win by 40 points, for us, a win’s a win. We expect every game to be like this one.”

Witnessing the victorious moment was First Lady Michelle Obama, who gave each sweaty player a hug as they left the court

The Dream Team will play Tunisia, who beat Nigeria 60-56 on Tuesday.

It is just me or is Kobe Bryant looking at the First Lady with lust in his eyes?  Just asking.
