First Lady Michelle Obama out shopping at a Virginia Target store

First Lady Michelle Obama was photographed shopping incognito at a Target store in Alexandria, Virginia.

Dressed in a Nicked baseball cap and sunglasses, the First Lady went unnoticed pushing her own shopping cart down the aisles for about 40 minutes without being recognized.

It was not until she got to the register that a cashier recognized her.

Kristina Schake, the communications director for Mrs. Obama said “it is not uncommon for the First Lady to slip out to run an errand, eat at a local restaurant or otherwise enjoy the city outside of the White House gates.”

Reports say casually dressed Secret Service agents arrived at the store about half-hour before the First Lady.

Store manager, Maria Panagopulof, said they were not notified that the First Lady was coming into the store, and it wasn’t until she was at the register that the cashier recognized her.
