A flight attendant was arrested last week after a passenger tracked his missing iPad to her home in Oregon.

Horizon Air flight attendant Wendy Ronelle Dye was arrested Friday evening at her home in Oregon City without incident.

The owner of the iPad said his device went missing on September 11 while he was on a flight to Los Angeles.  He said he had  forgotten he had downloaded the anti-theft application on his tablet until last Wednesday, when he was able to trace the missing iPad to a home in Oregon City.

When police first interviewed Dye she denied knowing anything about the missing iPad; however, she later confessed to having it saying a passenger had given it to her after another passenger left it on a seat.

She said she never used the tablet and was planning to turn it over to airline officials, but she had forgotten it in her bag.  Authorities said some of her personal information was found stored on the device including a reminder for her husband’s upcoming birthday.

Dye, who was charged with theft, was suspended from her job pending the police investigation.
