Is Florida defensive coordinator Charlie Strong playing the race card?
Strong told reporters the reason he has not been offered a head-coaching job during his 25 years in college football, is that he is black man who is married to a white woman.
When asked by an Orlando Sentinel reporter if his marriage had anything to do with him being passed over for a head-coaching job, he said, “I heard it too many times for it just to be a rumor. Everyone always told me that I didn’t get the job because my wife is white.”
Well, it depends on who “everyone” is. However, if “everyone” means people who are privy to discussions on this issue, then I think it is racism.
