Follow FIU student Quentin Wyche was arrested Friday and charged with second-degree murder for allegedly stabbing Kendall Berry to death.

It is still unclear what promotion the argument between Berry and Berry that led to Berry’s death.

A Florida International University student was stabbed and killed last night on the school’s main campus, university officials confirmed.

Kendall Berry, a running back for the university’s football team was killed Thursday night outside the school’s recreational center where many athletes from the Miami-Dade County school usually workout.

It is believed an argument erupted between Berry, 22, and another male and the male stabbed Berry in the abdomen.  Berry died en route to the hospital.

It is unclear if the suspect is a student at FIU.  Police said they have not recovered the weapon.

In a video message that was released this morning my university President Mark B. Rosenberg, saying, “Our hearts are heavy.  Kendall’s grief-stricken mother described him as a negotiator, not a fighter.  We will not rest until the perpetrator of this crime is brought to justice.”
