A food critic in the U.K said celebrity chef and restaurateur Gordon Ramsay serves disappointing food, some of his restaurants are “dreary” and his prices are “outrageous.”
The foul mouth host of “Hell’s Kitchen” and “Kitchen Nightmare” is known for screaming at chefs and telling them that their restaurants are dumps.
According to the 2010 edition of the respected Harden’s guide, Ramsay restaurants take four places in the top ten list of those offering disappointed food.
Richard Harden, co-editor of the guide, said a survey of 8,000 diners at Ramsay’s restaurants suggested that the TV chef is suffering from “imperial overreach.”
Harden said, “He [Ramsay] wants to be almost an international film star and be accorded Beckham levels of international fame and yet he wants to run this internationally recognized group of restaurants. There is a deep unwillingness to accept that you can’t have it all.”
Ramsay owns restaurants in the U.K, U.S.A. and Australia.
