A 29-year-old Canadian celebrity chef, who hosted the Food Network (Canada) show The Main, was found dead inside his North Vancouver home last week.
The exact time and cause of Anthony Sedlak’s death was not immediately known, but his body was found in his apartment around 7:00 p.m. Friday.
Sediak, who also appeared as a judge on the Food Network show Family Cook Off, won a silver medal representing Canada at the World Junior Chef Challenge in New Zealand and the Food Network’s Superstar Chef Challenge at age 23.
Earlier this year, Sediak co-opened The American Cheesesteak Co. and he also did a complete overhaul to the menu for Toronto’s Don Valley Hotel and Suites restaurants and room service.
Trish Magwood, who was a judge with Sediak on Family Cook Off, called Sediak a “big personality” and said he was “larger than life and he’d literally jump into any scenario with his super high energy.”
