They didn’t have to shoot these innocent people.   They can run, but they can’t hide.  They should be given the death penalty.

DELRAY BEACH, FL — Police released video of the robbery turned shooting in Delray Beach when four gunmen stormed into a Dunkin’ Donuts off of Atlantic Ave. around 10:30 Thanksgiving Eve.

The video shows three suspects coming through the front entrance, a fourth entering through a side door behind the restaurant’s patrons.

One suspect jumped behind the counter.  The cashier complied with orders, opened the register and got out of the way.

Meanwhile the other suspects ordered the patrons to the floor, many of whom police identified as senior citizens, and emptied their pockets.

Police say the victims complied with orders and after the men took what they wanted, one of the suspects armed with a shot gun opened fire, injuring three.

Two victims were hit in the face and a third was hit in the leg.

Police say the third victim didn’t realize he was hit until after returning home.  He drove himself to the hospital and was treated.

The suspects ran out of the restaurant and police say a man driving flashed his high-beams to warn them.  One of the suspects shot at his windshield, hitting the man in the face.

Police say none of the victim’s injuries were life threatening.

A little more than an hour later, a convenience store off of Sample Rd. in Broward was robbed in the same fashion.  No one was injured.  Police and investigating if the events are connected.

Investigators are offering up to $6,000 for information leading to the arrests of the suspects involved in the Dunkin’ Donuts robbery.  They say the suspects probably didn’t get away with much more than a few hundred dollars.

He said the department is sickened that the suspects needlessly opened fire on the Thanksgiving Eve robbery.

“They got what they were going to get. They started randomly shooting people. There’s no reason. There’s no sense in that,” said Jeff Messer with Delray Beach Police.

They hope the public can help them find answers.

“Give us anything you can give us to lead us in the right direction to catch these guys.  It’s obvious the community is at risk with these people.  Nobody is immune,” said Messer.
