A Bucks County Pennsylvania man who committed suicide Monday night is being blamed for the deaths of his wife and two daughters.

Authorities said after a fight with his wife on Monday, Gary Reitnauer went to the garage of an adjacent home on his property and locked himself inside with the car running.

Reitnauer’s wife, Michelle, tried to rescue him by climbing through a window to the side, which she broke, but was overcome by the fumes.

The couple’s oldest daughter, Yun Jiao Cao, tried to rescue them but she too was overcome by the carbon monoxide.

It’s unclear who called 911 to the home in the 1500 block of Kumry Road, but when officers arrived the found the couple’s youngest daughter, Jamie Hongfan, on the kitchen floor still alive.

Ten year old Jamie was rushed to hospital, where she later died.

Authorities said 59-year-old Gary Reitnauer intended on killing himself because he had broken off the latch to the garage door making it impossible for anyone to open it.
