French Canadian comedians known as the Masked Avengers, placed a prank call to Gov. Palin last Saturday while she was campaigning in North Carolina. The pranksters, pretending to be French President Nicolas Sarkozy, were able to get through to the Gov. and spoke with her for some time before realizing the call was not legitimate.

Comedian Marc Audette, posing as President Sarkozy said to Gov. Palin, “You know, I see you as a President one day too.”  Gov. Palin’s reply was, “Maybe in eight years.”  The comedian later went on to say, “you know my wife is a popular singer and a former top model and she’s so hot in bed.  She even wrote a song for you.”  Sarah’s reply to this was, “Oh my goodness, I didn’t know that.”

McCain’s campaign later released a statement saying, “Gov. Palin received a phone call on Saturday from a French Comedian talk show host claiming to be French President Nicolas Sarkozy. Gov. Palin was mildly amused to learn that she had joined the ranks of heads of state, including President Sarkozy, and other celebrities in being targeted by these pranksters.”  Reporters later asked Gov. Palin about the call; she rolled her eyes and referred to the campaign statement.
