Greenwich and Stamford police are searching for four suspects who led police on a chase that started in Old Greenwich and ended in Stamford after an accident.
The incident occurred Sunday night after an officer patrolling East Putnam Ave observed a black Honda Civic ran a red light.
The officer tried to pull over the driver but he took off, engaging the police in a pursuit.
Several cruisers followed the vehicle into Stamford, where the driver began to weave in and out of traffic while driving at 65 mph on Route 1.
Authorities say the pursuit ended when the driver collided with another car outside a public housing development on Perry Street, where the driver and his three passengers abandoned the car and fled on foot.
It was later discovered that the Honda was reported stolen on December 16.
K-9 officers were dispatched in an attempt to locate the suspects, but were unsuccessful.
Police said the suspects are still at large.
