The wife of a Texas pastor committed suicide in her car shortly after purchasing a gun in a Dallas gun shop.
Harriet Deison, the wife of Pete Deison, a pastor at Park Cities Presbyterian Church, was found shot to death in her Lexus sedan around 2: 15 p.m. Saturday.
Witnesses said they heard two shots and then saw smoke coming from Deison’s vehicle, which was parked in the lot of McClelland Gun Shop in the 1500 block of Centerville Road in East Dallas.
Sixty-five year old Deison was pronounced dead at the scene.
Moments before the suicide, Deison had entered the gun shop, where she purchased the suicide weapon.
It’s unclear whether Deison, who was mother-of-two and a grandmother-of-five, left a suicide note.
Harriet Deison ran the Minwood One Corp., an administrative and services support company.
