A football student at Sullivan South High School in Tennessee collapsed while on the field and later died at a hospital, officials confirmed.

During a play in the third quarter against Knoxville’s West High School, senior and co-captain, Jake Logue went into cardiac arrest and after being rushed to a nearby hospital the teenager expired.

At a memorial service organized by seniors at West High School, which hosted Friday’s game, students from both schools paid tribute to Logue with signs and flowers under one of the goal posts on the football field.

Moments after the vigil ended, a spectacular rainbow appeared in the sky and remained over the stadium for several minutes.
