HIV-positive David Dean Smith: I had unprotected sex with more than 1,000 women because I wanted to kill them

Authorities in Michigan said a HIV-positive man walked into a police station last week and confessed to having unprotected sex with at least 1,000 women without telling them of his health status.

David Dean Smith told police that his plan was to have sex with as many women as he possible could so he could pass the virus on to them and kill them.

Reports say Smith contacted one of the women last week telling her that he was turning himself over to the police and his life was over.  He then told her to “take care” and he loved her.

Smith did not say how he contracted the disease.

Police first became aware of Smith after one of his lovers found a medication to counteract HIV.

Smith is being held in the Kent County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
