Seventeen-year-old Kyra Peterson has been apprehended by police in Edson.

Peterson, who is scheduled to make her court appearance on Tuesday, is being charged with two counts of aggravated sexual.

Canadian authorities are searching for a 17-year-old woman, whom they believe is having unprotected sex without disclosing her HIV-positive status.

Edmonton police began searching for Kyra Peterson after they were contacted by two individuals.

Authorities are asking anyone who had a sexual encounter with the teenager to seek medical attention.

Anyone with knowledge of Peterson’s whereabouts is asked to call the police at 780-423-4567.

Not disclosing one’s HIV-status to sexual partners if it is known is a criminal offense.

Peterson was known to spend time in the Whyte Avenue area.

You are so shallow, the girl is in pain, who cares what she looks like, for god sakes, she made an enormous unforgivable mistake, and now she must live with herself. Leave her alone. She is probably suffering as much as everybody is hoping she is. I personally would love nothing more than to reach out and help her than see her be treated like an outcast… You think she’s the only one in edmonton with HIV… Think again. If you only knew the diseases this city carries…..kyra is still a human being, and at the end of the day, who are we to judge her? Everyone makes mistakes… Even you my friend.

A MISTAKE? Sorry. Sleeping with people (unprotected) when you KNOW YOU HAVE HIV is not a MISTAKE – it’s conciously infecting people knowingly with a death sentence.

The day society CANNOT judge a vile waste of skin like this is the day we have no moral standards left at all.

The people who “feel” for this “poor thing” are really twisted. Maybe if a person gave you HIV in this manner you’d have less “feelings” for her and more remorse for this CRIMINAL’S VICTIMS.

Bill E. Bob is 100 % right.She is a criminal and she got away with one charge of “common nuisance’ on Feb 22, 2012. And is rewarded with a nice place, health care, lifelong AISH-payments and so forth and so forth.
She had contact with hundreds of males and recklessly even had sex with two boys of barely
14 years old.
In her case crime paid off.

Where are her parents? They should be charged with neglect and child abandonment. She was living in a tent in Edmontons river valley. I feel sorry for her. But not for the stupid guys who had sexual relations with her.

now its really hard to find a good man, you don’t know whom they have slept with in the past and men lie to women all the time. oh well, i guess i will stay single and CELIBATE for ever. theres probably males out there whom have had sex with this girl, didn’t even know she was h.i.v positive now, the rest of us have to worry. men are such pigs. and they put women down?
