A New York woman who was struck by lightning Saturday night has died from injuries she suffered.

Forty-eight year old Indira Tursunova, of New City, was struck while walking on a sea wall in Monmouth Beach.  Relatives and friends tried to resusitate her before she was rushed to a hospital.

She died early Sunday morning.

The Rockland County woman was at the Monmouth County beach with relatives when a storm started.  As the group was leaving the beach, Tursunova, who was walking about 20feet behind the others, was struck by the lightning.

She was rushed to Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, where he died around 6:00 a.m. Sunday.
