Isiah has agreed to coach for FREE
From coaching two NBA teams to now coaching Florida International University, is the downward career path former Knicks executive and basketball player Isiah Thomas is taking.
The FIU released a statement saying that Thomas, who is expected to be at the university tomorrow, signed a five-year contract with the school.
Thomas, who coached for the NY Knicks and the Indiana Pacers, had a 56-108 record the two years he coached the Knicks.
He had been a special assistant to Knicks President Donnie Walsh since being ousted as the coach, and two weeks ago, he told Walsh he was looking to coach at FIU, while they were on a scouting trip in Turin, Italy
FIU coach, Sergio Ruoco, was fired yesterday after his fifth straight losing seasons.
