The New York Post is reporting that James Madison High School teacher Erin Sayar’s husband is humiliated over her affair with her student that he is searching for a divorce lawyer.

The newspaper quoted a source as saying “He’s very angry.  He’s very embarrassed; he’s already talking about getting a divorce lawyer.”

Although 39-year-old Jimmy Lathrop appeared at his wife’s arraignment on Friday, the source was also quoted as saying: “I don’t think this marriage will last.”

Sayar’s lawyer called the charges against her client “very suspicious.”

Her lawyer, Virginia Lopreto, said student, football player Kevin Eng, had been suspended for allegedly selling pot on school premises.

Sayar was released from jail after posting $10,000 bail.

James Madison High School teacher Erin Sayar was arrested and charged with raping 16-year-old Kevin Eng.

Sayar, who lives in Park Slope with her attorney husband, Jimmy Lathrop, and child, was charged with eight counts of third-degree rape and criminal sexual conduct.

Students at the Midwood school said Sayar and Eng did not do much to hide their relations.

One student told the New York Post that Eng bragged about the relationship on Face.

Another student, sixteen year old Eddie Reid told the newspaper “we had weight training every day in sixth period, but instead of going to the weight room, Kevin was going to [Sayar] office and the door was locked.”

Reid went on to say that “people would go to the door and try and open it.  She’d just yell ‘Go to class!’ and ‘Get out of the hallway!’”

A 35-year-old married New York City high school teacher is accused of having sex with her 16-year-old student.

Erin Sayar, an English teacher at James Madison High School in Brooklyn, is accused of having sex with 11^th grader Kevin Eng at least eight times beginning in December 2011 until January of this year.

It is alleged that some of the trysts occurred inside the Midwood school and also in the teacher’s SUV.

The alarm was raised by Eng’s girlfriend who became suspicious of her boyfriend’s tutoring sessions with his teacher.

She hacked her boyfriend’s Facebook account and found messages from Sayar to Eng, where the two professed their love for each other.

The girlfriend notified the school and school officials contacted Eng’s family and the police.

Initially, Eng, who is now 17, had denied the affair when they were busted in January, but he eventually confessed to an investigator in late March.

During an investigation it was discovered that teacher and student exchanged 3,856 text messages, and they two had oral sex and sexual intercourse inside the teacher’s SUV and her classroom.

Eng’s parents, Maureen and Stephen, have hired a lawyer and plan to sue the city for more than $10 million.
