Eighteen-year-old Jarvis St. Remy became the 16th homicide victim in Toronto last night when he was shot and killed while waiting for a bus, Canadian officials said.

According to Toronto police, Remy was standing at a bus stop around 10:45p.m when two men approached him on foot and started firing shots.

Residents in the housing complex close to the bus stop called 911 after hearing the gunshots, and when police arrived, they found the teenager, who was in the neighborhood visiting friends, with no vital signs lying on the sidewalk.

The two suspects fled the crime scene before the police arrived.
