Jessica Simpson’s mother, Tina, filed for divorce from Joe Simpson because he is gay

The National Enquirer is claiming that Jessica Simpson’s mother, Tina, filed for a divorce from her husband of 34 years because he is gay.

The tabloid claims that Joe Simpson came out of the closet to his family two months ago but told them he wanted to stay married to Tina.

The report says Tina wanted nothing to do with her 54-year-old husband, who was a youth pastor and a Baptist minister, so she filed for divorce on September 24.

It is also said that Joe currently has a 20-something year old boyfriend.

It’s unclear whether the boyfriend was the same guy in the car with Joe when he was arrested in California on DUI charges on August 4.
