A Southwest Airlines with 126 passengers and 5crewmembers on board was forced to land in Charleston, West Virginia, on Monday after a football-sized hole in its fuselage caused the cabin to depressurize, an airline spokesperson said.
The Boeing 737 Southwest flight 2294 was en route from Nashville, Tennessee to Baltimore, Maryland, when the problem occurred.
According to authorities, the sudden drop in the cabin pressure caused the jet’s oxygen masks to deploy.
Airline officials are not sure what caused the damage to the jet.
