Troubled ex-Yankee Jim Leyritz has been busted for trying to mix drinking with driving – again.

The 1996 World Series hero, who is awaiting trial on charges that he drove drunk in a fatal crash, had his bail yanked and was jailed Friday afternoon in south Florida.

Authorities said he tried four times to drive after drinking – but a high-tech device in his car wouldn’t let him.

“He poses a danger to the community,” prosecutor Stefani Newman said.

Leyritz, 45, had been allowed to remain free as long as he stayed off the booze.

But officials revealed that between September and January, he repeatedly tried to get behind the wheel with alcohol in his system.

The ex-catcher’s car won’t start unless he first blows into a detection system. He only recently had regained driving privileges.

Leyritz was aleady facing manslaughter charges for the December 2007 death of bartender Fredia Veitch, killed when the has-been jock plowed his SUV into her car.

Authorities say Leyritz was drunk at the time and reported that the victim had also been driving drunk.

Leyritz, who has pleaded not guilty, faces up to 15 years in jail.
