A 38-year-old former principal of an elementary school in Westchester County pleaded guilty to criminal sex act with a 14-year-old boy.

Jose Martinez, of Brentwood, New York, was sentenced to six months in jail and 10 years probation by a judge in White Plains.

Martinez, the former administrative dean of Isaac E. Young Middle School in New Rochelle, admitted to engaging in sex with the teenage boy in 2010.

It is unclear whether the teenager was a student at the middle school where Martinez worked.

After he committed the sex act crime in 2010, Martinez, who must now register as a sex offender, was promoted to principal of an elementary school in Westchester County.  He resigned just before he was arrested in March.
