A food fight in a Connecticut elementary school cafeteria turned into a fist fight between a lunchroom worker and a 13-year-old girl.
A week ago last Thursday, a fifth-grader at Gilmartin Elementary School in Waterbury threw vegetables at lunch aide Rosa Robles and Robes, 55 responded by throwing vegetables in the teenager’s face.
The girl, whose identity has not been released, then punched Robles in the face and Robles punched her back.
Both women were arrested and Robes, who was placed on paid leave, was charged with assault.
Because of her age, authorities did not release the charges that were brought against the teenager, but school officials placed her on suspension.
Isn’t this girl too old to be in fifth grade?
