I love my Jersey friends, but I have been telling y’all for some time now that y’all are some of the worse drivers out there….now here is the evidence!!!
The owner of a 2012 BMW X5 SUV watched in dismay as his friend backed his brand new vehicle into the Newark Bay over the weekend.
Reports say the owner of the vehicle gave his friend, who did not have a driver’s license, the keys to his new ride so he could “ease” it down a ramp to retrieve a boat from the water, using its attach trailer.
As the friend was backing up the vehicle on the ramp at the pier on 16th street Park in Bayonne, New Jersey, around 7:30 p.m. Saturday, he backed it into the Newark Bay.
The owner, a 31-year-old man from Lodi, watched as his $50,000 white BMW went into the water.
After getting over the shock of what had happened, he helped his friend out of the water.
The driver, who was given a ticket for driving without a license, later told police he was experiencing chest pains while driving the SUV.
He was later taken to the hospital. An update on his condition was not available at press time.
Firefighters eventually pulled the vehicle from the water.
