Toronto police said a man had his foot partly severed after tumbling into the well of a moving train, but he was able to call 911 while being dragged by the train.
Canadian police said the unnamed man and two other men were drinking on a train that was parked in Lambton rail yards when all of a sudden, the train started to move.
Police Sgt. Tim Burrows said the man tumbled into the well of the container car, and his leg slipped through an opening, before being dragged on the ground.
By the time rescuers found the man, who is believed to be in his twenties, his right foot was partially severed.
He was taken to St. Michael’s Hospital where he is listed in serious but stable condition.
