Man commits suicide by jumping off Route 8/25 onto I-95 in Bridgeport

A 28-year-old Connecticut man is said to have committed suicide by jumping from an overpass into oncoming traffic on Interstate 95.

Authorities said the victim died after jumping from the Route 8/25 overpass by Exit 27A in Bridgeport onto I-95 around 8:00 p.m. Wednesday.

The victim, who has not been identified, was struck by three cars.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
