A New York City man attending a friend’s wake on Wednesday was shot outside the Queens funeral home.

Witnesses said the 31-year-old victim had gathered with friends outside the Elcock Funeral Home in South Richmond Hills around 9:30 p.m., when the suspect approached them and an argument ensued.

The gunman then pulled out a gun and fired a shot hitting the victim.

The unnamed victim ran into the funeral home, where he collapsed in the vestibule.  He was rushed to Jamaica Hospital, where as of press time he was listed in critical condition.

As of press time the suspect was still at large.

The victim was attending the wake for murdered victim Leroy Smith, who was killed in Pennsylvania last week.
