Man shot to death while attending a Mississauga neighborhood party

Canadian authorities are investigating the death of a 20-something year old man who was shot at a party early Sunday morning in the Toronto area.

Officers responding to several 911 calls of shots being fired at an apartment complex on Brandon Gate Drive and Goreway Drive in Malton around 2:00 a.m. Sunday, found several party goers outside the complex.

Witnesses told Peel Regional Police that friends drive a wounded man to a nearby hospital, where the victim later died.

Paul Moyles, the superintendent of a nearby apartment complex, said he was outside on his balcony listening to the music from the party when he heard about “five quick pops, then a pause and one very distinct and final sixth shot.”

As of press time police did not have anyone in custody.
