Marie Stewart’s stabbed body found in her garage after being missing for two months

A 30-year-old British woman who had been missing since Christmas was found stabbed to death in her garage.

It is not clear why it took Marie Stewart’s family more than two months to report her missing, but last Sunday, police received the missing person report and began to search her Holmfirth, West Yorkshire, home.

While searching the home, police discovered Stewart’s stabbed body hidden in the garage.

Police arrested a 28-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman who lived at the Holmfirth, West Yorkshire address. They later released the woman.

Authorities have not publicly identified the couple, but neighbors say the man was Stewart’s boyfriend.

Reports say before she was killed, Stewart lived in the house with her partner and two young children.
