Cellular customers who are receiving text messages from a company called MetaBank are being advised not to give out personal information to unknown sources.

Police say the company is sending text messages to cell phones advising that there has been a security breach on their cellular account and ask the customer to call a toll free number to inquire about the problem.

When customers call the number they are connected to an automated system that asks first for their credit card number and then for other pieces of personal information.
