Michael Jackson ‘converts to Islam and changed name to Mikaeel’

It is believed that Michael Jackson converted to Islam at a friend’s house in Los Angeles and changed his name to Mikaeel.

It is said that the singer, who was raised as a Jehovah’s Witness, held the ceremony at the home of Steve Porcaro, a keyboard player who composed music on his Thriller album.

According to a source close the situation, after a period of depression, Jackson was counseled by Canadian songwriter David Wharnsby and producer Philip Bubal to convert.

It is also believed that the Nation of Islam got him the $100,000 a month house he was living in when he died.
