Michael Lang dies after Metro-North train ran over him in Fairfield

Fairfield police have identified the Connecticut man who was killed by a Metro-North train over the weekend as 51-year-old Michael Lang.

Police said Lang, of New Milford, was lying on the tracks behind the Kings Highway Stop & Shop supermarket when an eastbound train struck him around 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Reports say on June 6 MTA Police issued Lang a summons after he was spotted wondering on the tracks at the same spot where he was killed.
