An Oklahoma woman who was reported missing for several days was found alive in her home freezer.
Theresa Christian’s son, Jermal Stewart, said he and other family members had been searching for his mother after not hearing from her since last Saturday.
Stewart said they went to her Tulsa home several times calling out her name before calling the police.
Wednesday morning Stewart made another trip to his 59-year-old mother’s home and this time he heard a moan coming from the freezer area. When he went to investigate he heard a faint voice saying “help me, help me.”
Stewart opened the freezer door and found his mother inside.
There are reports that just before she went missing Christian went outside telling neighbors that a tornado was coming.
Another son told reporters that his mother is on “a lot of medication and she was probably over-medicated” when she climbed into the freezer.
He did not give a reason as to why is mother is heavily medication.
Christian, who suffered severe freezing on her legs, is unable to tell police exactly what happened or how she got inside the freezer.
