Greenwich, Connecticut has seen its share of nasty divorces, some of which I have documented in my novel “Greenwich Secrets;” however, the Seymour/Brant case is giving the characters in my book a run for their money.

Billionaire Peter Brant hauled his soon-to-be ex-wife and former supermodel Stephanie Seymour into Superior Court in Stamford on Monday to fight over…..what else, but the children’s nannies.

Brant told the judge that Seymour violated a court order when she failed to hire a nanny for their three children on a timely basis. Plus, instead of asking him to look after their children while she is away, she would ask friends or relatives to look after the kids, or just leave them at home with house staff.

The former Victoria’s Secret model fired back by telling the judge that she had a nanny, and a good one at that, but her paper-magnate husband stole her last year before asking her to spy on her.

Seymour, 40, said one of her beloved nannies just up and quit on her right before Christmas last year, then later resurfaced at her soon-to-be ex-husband’s home.

Wearing a geometric blue and white dress and a red cardigan, Seymour told the judge that just before Nanny Cora Driv up and quit on her, Brant had ordered her to spy on her.

Brant, 62, fired back telling the judge that he hired Nanny Driv after Seymour had been mean to her and had intimidated her.

Having enough of their nanny nonsense, the judge declined the motion saying nothing he had heard could prove Seymour was in contempt.

Seymour and Brant, who owns White Birch Paper Company and Brant Publications, Inc., were married in 1995 and Seymour filed for divorce in March 2009.

According to court records, in 2009, Brant, who is also a movie producer and co-founder of the Greenwich Polo Club, earned $1.5 million a month.

Brant, who is also a grandfather, has five adult children with his first wife, Sandy.

The ages of the children that Seymour and Brant are fighting over are 15, 12, and 4.

What is gearing up to be a nasty divorce trial is scheduled for September of this year.
