A California millionaire, who had recently moved to Southern Florida to be closer to relatives, was found dead wrapped in duct tape in his Fort Lauderdale home.
Police responding to a 911 call in an affluent neighbor in Fort Lauderdale this week, found 70-year-old Ronald Vinci dead in the $3million home he had only purchased two weeks ago.
Police have not said who placed the emergency call or whether Vinci’s girlfriend, who was also living in the 7,000 sq feet waterfront mansion, was at home at the time that the body was discovered.
Vinci, a self-made millionaire who made his fortune through a string of successful Honda dealerships throughout Southern California, recently sold the business and moved to Florida to be closer to his son, Kerry, and grandson.
Neighbors reported hearing screams coming from the mansion around 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, the same day that police found Vinci’s body.
