Musician Jerry Goldstein, who co-wrote the 1963 hit son “My Boyfriend’s Back,” is refusing to leave his 8,000sq foot California home that was recently sold at public auction.
According to TMZ, Jerry’s Pacific Palisades mansion was recently foreclosed on and sold at public auction for $7.6 million, but the musician has refused to leave the home so that the new owners could move in.
The new owners filed legal documents to have Jerry, who was the credited songwriter of “War” for Sly and the Family Stone, removed from the home, in addition, they are also asking for $666.66 for each day Jerry continues to live there.
Jerry also wrote the hit songs “I Want Candy” and “Why Can’t We Be Friends.”

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackIt’s not Jerry who doesn’t want to leave. He hasn’t lived there in years. It’s his Whackjob Ex-wife, Claire Goldstein (OR Claire Levine — whatever she’s calling herself this week). She is literally Psychotic, and she lives in Fantasyland. Most likely she has convinced herself that the house still belongs to her. Of course, she’s broken so many Laws — she’ll probably have permanent housing, anyway. IN PRISON.
And they’re getting sued by Sly Stone for Squandering His Money.
Why am I NOT Surprised!
AIN’T KARMA A BITCH???
And they owned High-end Properties all over the world. Lost ‘em all to Foreclosure. Why??? Because they had NO CLUE about how to properly manage their money (OR anybody elses, for that matter, just go ask Sly Stone) — and Claire Screwed so many people, and treated those that cared about her like shit, so no one stayed around long enough to give her a helping-hand and bail her out when it would have helped most.
Oh, Well.
Does anyone know what status of Sly Stone vs Goldstein, Levine, Topley and others is?
