Massachusetts police arrested Olympian figure skater Nancy Kerrigan’s brother over the weekend for assaulting their father who was found dead in his Stoneham home.

Police responding to an emergency call around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday at the home of Daniel and Brenda Kerrigan found the elderly man unresponsive.

He was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Forty-five year old Mark Kerrigan was arrested and charged with assault and battery on a person over 60 that resulted in injuries.

According to reports, Mark, who lives in his parents’ basement, told the police he was angry with his 70-year-old father because he wouldn’t allow him to use the phone.

The police report says that Mark “appeared intoxicated” and was “belligerent and combatative” to the point that cops had to pepper spray him to place his handcuffs on.

Mark, who has been in and out of prison for most of his adult, pleaded not guilty to the charges in court his morning.
