A 22-year-old Navy SEAL from California is on life support after accidentally shooting himself in the head.
According to reports, Geno Clayton was attempting to show a female friend how to handle a gun when he pointed the weapon to his head and pulled the trigger.
It’s been reported that Clayton, of San Diego, and woman had been drinking before the 2:00 a.m. incident on Thursday.
He was rushed to Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, where he was not expected to survive his injuries.
Reports say Clayton, a 2007 graduate of Boardman High School, had just completed his basic SEAL course.
Navy officials and local San Diego police are conduction an investigation.
