While on the set of a NBC new pilot, vice-president of network drama, Nora O’Brien, unexpectedly died of a brain aneurysm.

The forty-two year old single woman was in Berkeley, California, for the past few weeks as part of a film crew shooting the pilot for “Parenthood,” starring Peter Krause, Maura Tierney and Erika Christensen.

Around 9:20 Wednesday morning, the six-year veteran at NBC Universal collapsed shortly after complaining about being dizzy. Less than half an hour later, she was pronounced dead.

In a statement that was released by NBC Universal, it said: “Our hearts go out to the family and friends of our beloved colleague Nora, who was respected and cherished by so many people in the entertainment community.  She will truly be missed by all of us.”

NBC canceled all pilot screenings that were slated for Thursday, and production of “Parenthood,” which is based on the 1989 movie, has been shut down for two days
