The decomposing body of a 75-year-old California man dangled on his Marina Del Rey third-floor apartment balcony for days because neighbors thought the lifeless figure was part a Halloween display.
According to reports, Mostafa Mahmoud Zayed killed himself last Monday with a single gunshot wound to his eye then laid slumped over in a chair on his balcony until his body was discovered on Thursday.
Neighbors told a local news reporter that they didn’t call police after seeing the body, which was in plain view; because they thought it was part of a Halloween display.
The Coroner’s office was called to the apartment complex early Thursday evening.
The official cause of death has not been announced.

4 ch DVR, I’m sure if people actually thought it was real they would have reported it. Lots of people put out gorey dummies on their porch during the Halloween season.
