North Dakota State University students, Danielle Renninger, Megan Sample, both 18, Jordan Playle, 19, and Lauren Peterson killed in accident

Four North Dakota State University students returning to school after visiting relatives over President’s Day weekend were killed in a car accident.

Reports say Danielle Renninger, Megan Sample, Jordan Playle and Lauren Peterson, where all killed when their vehicle was broadsided by an SUV when it crossed the median on I-94 Monday afternoon.

Bad road conditions and poor visibility are being blamed for the accident, which occurred around 3:00 p.m.

Authorities said all four teenagers, who were from western Minnesota, were wearing their seatbelts.
