Nun chased thief into woods

A nun chased a robber into the woods after he ran into St. Francis convent after he had just robbed a house in Missouri.

The unidentified man ran into the building early this morning in Independence, Missouri after stealing a shotgun and other items from a nearby house.

It is believed that a sister from the convent then chased him into the woods, at which time he dropped the shotgun.

Independence police are still searching for the man.
