A 60-year-old New York doctor, who was a volunteer medic for the Occupy Wall Street movement, was arrested at his New Jersey home after police found “bomb-making” chemicals and assault rifles in his home.
The FBI and local authorities raided Roberto Rivera’s Ridgewood home Friday night after they received a tip that the doctor was in possession of hazardous materials.
It’s unclear what Dr. Rivera, who is currently unemployed, was planning to do with the large stash of chemicals.
He is being held in Bergen County jail on $1 million bail.
