Canada’s Special Investigations Unit is looking into a shooting Friday morning involving officers from the Toronto police department.

Witnesses told reporters they saw several officers surrounding a man, believed to be about 29, shortly after 10:00 a.m. Friday near Danforth and Coxwell avenues.

They said about six officers approached the man, who was wearing what looked like a blue hospital gown, from behind while three other officers were in the front of him.

The officers then tackled the man to the ground and while on the ground one of the officers shot and killed him.

The man, who is believed to have been a patient Toronto East General Hospital, was taken to St. Michael’s Hospital, where he later died.

Authorities later said the man was threatening the officers with a pair of scissors.

A 40-year-old Milwaukee teacher was arrested last month after a police officer busted her and a 14-year-old boy semi-nude in her vehicle in a deserted parking lot.

Tammi Monty, a sixth grade teacher at Manitoba School was charged with child enticement (sexual contact or intercourse).

According to the arrest report, around 2:00 a.m. on January 28, an officer spotted Monty’s SUV in the KK Sports Center parking lot. The officer walked up to the driver’s side of the vehicle and shined his flashlight inside the SUV and saw Monty and the teenager naked from the waist down in the back seat.

The report says prior to the early morning sexual incident Monty had sent nude pictures and videos of herself to the teenager and she had also asked him for a naked picture of his genitals.

Upon news of her arrest, Monty was placed on paid suspension for three days.

If convicted, Monty faces up to 25 years in prison and a fine of up to $100,000.

It is unclear whether the teenager was a student of Monty’s.

An unarmed New York City teen was shot and killed by a police officer inside his Bronx home.

According to reports, around 3:00 p.m. Thursday 19-year-old Ramarley Graham was standing on a street corner in his Willamsbridge neighborhood adjusting his pants waist, when officers spotted him and assumed he was reaching for a gun.

Upon seeing the officers, Graham, who had two prior arrests for marijuana and burglary, ran home to his second-floor apartment on East 229^th Streets with the officers in close pursuit.

Graham’s 39-year-old mother, Constance Malcolm, who was at home at the time of the incident, said the officers barged into her home and when her son darted toward his bathroom one of the two officers jumped him and the two began to struggle. The officer’s weapon then went off and a bullet pierced the teenager in his upper left chest.

Graham was rushed to Montefiore Medical Center, where he later died.

After searching Graham and his home police did not find a gun.

The shooting is under investigation.
