Leonore Annenberg, a philanthropist and wife of the late publisher and ambassador Walter Annenberg, died early this morning at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho, Mirage, California.
Annenberg, who was 91, died of natural causes with her family at her side.
During President Ronald Reagan’s first term, Annenberg served as U.S. chief of protocol, a position that carries the rank of ambassador.
